Inner Source Performance Psychology

Working with the person behind the athlete

WHAT PEOPLE SAY

Matt, Rock Climber

"Alex was instrumental in helping me through a strange period of recurring injury. But beyond the acute treatment, I was surprised to concretely learn tools that have helped me in my life. I employ these tools in all areas of my life, be it in relationships, my professional career and climbing. You can learn how to show up prepared physically AND mentally."

Janelle, Runner

"In just 2 short weeks of working with Alex, I've made progress in helping my brain unhook the unhelpful thoughts it was tightly wrapped around. Rather than feeling stuck in a cycle of anxiety & stress, I'm enjoying running, time with my family and generally feeling more pleasant! The tools he's teaching me are making a real and immediate impact. While I still have more work to do and a significant surgery & recovery on the horizon, I feel supported to move through what's coming my way, enjoy what I love and bring my best to what I do."

Emmett, Rock Climber

"I’ve worked with Alex for about 5 years now and every year I have seen improvement. Last year was the strongest I have been in 10 years of climbing, which is significant for someone in mid-50s. I would also say my body has been the most resilient ever. In addition to improving climbing strength training, Alex has helped me significantly with the mental game of tactics, timing, mindset, etc.  Lastly, and this should not be under appreciated, is that he has helped me a lot with life outside of climbing giving me habits, advice, and homework to help me deal with the challenges of life that come with family, work and relationships. If your life is balanced and you are in a good place mentally, you are giving your climbing the best chance of success."

My Story

From the very beginning of my experience with sport and performance its always had much more to do with the people I was with, the experiences we were having, and the connection we made to what we were doing. Succeeding in anything I was doing came after all of the above.

I have always been fascinated in how to have the best possible experience in life, sport, and performance. This fascination brought me to a coaching career in rock climbing and ultimately to where I am today, as a sport and performance psychology professional.
